My name is Lois Ileana Mikutis, but at St.Thomas they know me as Mrs. Perez. I graduated from Cal. State LA in 1998 with a Bachelors Degree in Child Development. I became part of this blessed community 6 years ago. I am very proud to be a kidergarten teacher at St. Thomas. I have been the Health Coordinator for 2 years. Teaching at St. Thomas enables me to share my passion for knowledge and guide young people in their growth.
My name is Joann Impeduglia, I'm currently the 4th grade teacher. I have earned my Masters in Education at St. John's University and my certification in teaching in 1997. I enjoy teaching and through the years I find it rewarding that I can influence a child's life in a small way. Welcome to St. Thomas. As the sixth grade teacher, I am currently in my third year of teaching. I am a graduate of Boston University where I also played Division I basketball. After college and moving to California, I decided to pursue teaching in a formal setting. As of 2006, I now have both a Master's degree in Education and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University. I look forward to further successes for my students as well as myself. Learning and teaching are two passions that I enjoy and hope to continually motivate my students.
My name is Mrs. Nowak and I have been teaching here at St. Thomas for four years. I am a native Los Angelina and am a graduate of Immaculate Heart High School. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and just completed my Master of Arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University. My educational background and passion lies in History, Language and Art. I love teaching middle school and strive for each of my students to enjoy learning and to grow in mind, body and soul through their educational experiences.
Mr. Santa Maria graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Education. Currently Mr. Santa Maria is taking his Masters at Loyola Marymount University in Childhood and Adolescent Literacy and a dual credential in Elementary Education and Secondary Social Science. Mr. Santa Maria is a member of the lay branch of the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus. An order committed to Cornelia Connelly's educational philosophy in providing quality education in inner city schools and international sites while living in community, to achieve spiritual, personal and professional growth. Outside of education Mr. Santa Maria is involved in social justice issues in the local and global level focusing on the respect and dignity of all people. In addition Mr. Santa Maria currently sits the National Formation Committee of Christian Life Community a lay organization that focuses on living out the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
